Description
Individual group members should be able to post messages to the group. All members that have opted to receive group posts will then receive them. The posts could also be displayed as comments on the group

alternative suggestion:
Same idea as above but instead of getting a normal message:
People could send out new threads which are marked with visibility "group only"
advantages:
- people still control which messages they get (Mails/NoMails option in the group member settings)
- receivers get in dialogue by simply replying to the mail they get (forwarded to the "group only thread")
- The sender don't have to answer every single group member message (in case recievers reply to the sender), instead the communication will be moved to the group threads and so to Bewelcome
- easier to understand for the member as a "new group message" functionality (We just have to make sure that there is a good explanation for "group only, member only and world".
- we do not need to design a "new group message" functionality, as everything will be reused from the "forum form"
disadvantage
- as it is connected to visibility "group only" I see a problem with duplicate threads- example: I want to announce a new "Meeting/Camp?" in the group "Klöden Late Summer Camp". So to make sure all group members (with option mail->yes) will get the announcement I write a "group only thread" but than I thought it would be nice that all members and no members will see it, so I have to write another post into the group with visibility "world". Result: 2 threads in the group with the same content (one which is visible to the group only and one which is visible to everybody) and confusion for the group members which one to reply....

This has been re-implemented to work along the ideas of Crumbkings proposal. Basically, any post in a group forum will send notifications to the group members that have chosen yes to get mail notifications. Regardless of visibility, currently. It's working on test, Sitarane has been testing it with me a bit.

This is on test now, in r8564. Note that as of right now, it's not linked - if you go to /groups/:group_id:/message you should see the interface
